The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Medicalgorithmics appointed Przemysław A. Schmidt and Marzena Piszczek to the supervisory board. Przemysław A. Schmidt is an experienced manager and investment banker, and will take over as chairman of the supervisory board. His candidacy was submitted by BioFund, the company’s largest shareholder. The company’s second largest shareholder, PZU “Złota Jesień” Open Pension Fund, submitted the candidacy of Marzena Piszczek. She is an experienced expert in corporate finance and public finance, a doctor of economic sciences, former chairwoman of the supervisory boards of PKO BP, PZU S.A. and Grupa Azoty.
After the changes, the Supervisory Board of Medicalgorithmics consists of its new Chairman Przemyslaw A. Schmidt, Marzena Piszczek, Michal Wnorowski, and BioFund owners Pawel Lewicki and Krzysztof Siemionow. Immediately before the General Meeting of Shareholders, the company received the resignation of Andrzej Gladysz, and the General Meeting also decided to dismiss Anna Sobocka and Slawomir Kosciak from the Supervisory Board.
Przemysław A. Schmidt is a manager and investment banker with over 35 years of professional experience. From 2001 to 2013, he was Founding Partner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRIGON Dom Maklerski S.A. Previously, for four years, he served as Vice President of American Entertainment Inc. – the largest cable and satellite television operator in Central and Eastern Europe. At the same time, he held the position of president of the group company Wizja TV. From 2016 to 2021 he was a shareholder and board member of GetFresh, a producer of “Dar Natury” spring water. Przemysław A. Schmidt graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law at the Adam Mickiewicz University (1987) and completed postgraduate studies at Georgetown University, University of California (Fulbright Fellow), Leiden University and INSEAD (Certificate in Global Management). In the period 2017-2020, he socially served as President of the Court of Arbitration at the Confederation of Leviathan. He is also an active member of supervisory boards of public and private companies.
Dr Marzena Piszczek is a lecturer in the Department of Public Finance at the Cracow University of Economics. In the past, she has served on numerous supervisory boards – including as chairwoman of the supervisory board of PKO BP, PZU Group and Grupa Azoty. From 2011-14, she was vice president of finance at PG EJ1.
