Cardiac diseases causing significant mortality, shortage of medical staff, lengthening queues to specialists, and increasing costs of health care make it necessary to introduce solutions in medicine that will minimize the adverse effects of these phenomena. Product innovation, the ECG TechBot system, responds to current and future market needs. The operation of the system will be based on technologically advanced algorithms using deep neural networks.

Thanks to this, as the first product in the world, the system will be able to provide real-time analysis results and ECG interpretation, which do not require specialist verification. This will translate into shortening the time needed to issue a diagnosis, which will increase the effectiveness of treatment, e.g., by taking intervention at an early stage of disease development.

The aim of the project is to develop and market a product innovation – ECG TechBot – software that uses advanced algorithms for automatic analysis and interpretation of the ECG signal based on deep learning methods. The solution will enable automatic interpretation of the ECG signal from any type of electrocardiographic test, which will support medical staff and facilitate diagnostics, responding to the global needs reported by the health care sector.

Automation of the ECG analysis and interpretation process will bring the greatest benefits in the area of ECG tests with more demanding interpretations, such as Holter or multi-day monitoring, but also in screening tests. The solution will enable automatic interpretation of the ECG signal from any type of electrocardiographic test, which will support medical staff and facilitate diagnostics, responding to the global needs reported by the health care sector.

The total cost of the project, as well as the total amount of eligible costs, is PLN 11,188 thousand. PLN, with the maximum co-financing value set at PLN 6,335 thousand. zloty.

Project implementation period: 2017-2022.
